Brm! Brm! Toot toot!

This was a Midas Gold convertible that I put together between '92 and '94. The kit was supplied by Midas Cars ltd of Sutton Bonnington and a slightly bent (but written off) MG Metro was the primary donor.

By day I was a fulltime FORTRAN monkey, and so I only worked on this during evenings/weekends. It's a glass-reinforced plastic monocoque construction, with a generously thick gel coat.

It was a relatively easy build in retrospect, I used hand-tools for every job as they produce far less dust than power tools - and welding was only needed once to modify a pedal fixture - everything else just needed patience and careful thinking.
